The Media Didactics working group (AK) in the Media Education section of the German Educational Research Association brings together researchers in German-speaking countries who are involved in the design of digital technology for educational purposes. The conferences of the AK Mediendidaktik offer the opportunity to present current activities of research groups in German-speaking countries and to further expand networking. At the same time, the opportunity is created to reflect on the positioning of media didactics research and its methodology. This year, special emphasis will be placed on the relationship between media didactic and subject-specific didactic research questions and how these can be worked on together. A special track entitled "Media didactics meets specialised didactics" will examine the corresponding challenges and opportunities.
